This is a sweet romance between Laura, a librarian, and Cliff, a baseball star. Right off, Ms. Andrews shows the attraction between Laura and Cliff. Unlike many romance stories, there is no time when Laura and Cliff are at odds with one another. In the backdrop of Vacation Bible School, planned renovation of a church, solving of a water dispute between Sterling Lakes and Clarke's Falls, care of a boy who lives in a bad home environment and Laura's decision to start a modeling career, the love between Laura and Cliff survives.
The author has excellent character development and vivid descriptions of places and people. I have read the first two books of this series and the characters of those stories are mentioned briefly in this third book. This ties the first two books nicely to this third book. novel.
